2018 Lenten Studies

Children and Parents Together

In this family-oriented Bible study led by Pastors Brenda Stobbe and Michael McIntyre, children and their parents will have the opportunity to gather together to experience a Bible lesson in the same way our children do every Sunday morning.  Afterward, Pastor Brenda will meet with the children to dig deeper into what they’ve heard, while Pastor Michael will meet with parents to discuss the story from an adult perspective.  The class will meet from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm every Wednesday night from February 21 through March 21.

A Study of Mark

Pastor Greg Finfrock will lead this study of the life of Jesus as portrayed in the Gospel of Mark.  This five-week study will follow Jesus from his ministry in Galilee, beyond Galilee in Judea, and into Jerusalem, culminating at the cross on Mount Golgotha and the Resurrection.  This study will meet from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm on Wednesday nights from February 21 through April 4, with weeks off on March 14 and March 28.

Beyond the Broken Heart – A Journey Through Grief

We grieve because we love.  How does the heart understand grief when it is broken by the death of a loved one? To survive and live forward, those who grieve must find answers. As we grieve, slowly we understand that grief is not a crisis of faith—it is a crisis of the heart. Here you will find comfort, guidance, and spiritual support on your journey through grief.  Congregational Care Director Val Novatny will lead this 8 week study from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm, beginning on February 21 and concluding on April 25 (no class on March 28 or April 11).  The book ($9) is recommended but not required.  Click here to purchase a book.
